Today on a special episode of our podcast I {Rheanna} am in Sunny California for Christmas and decided to record with my mom and sister. A big thanks to Aubri for letting me have some fun with them. I give my mommy and sister a little leeway and let them talk about their feelings on the series as a whole. All of us are original Gillies, fans of the original series, watched during original airtime and obsessively watch on reruns and Netflix.

Episode 16 - Two Nerdy Girls and Doctor Strange

Welcome to Episode 16 of the podcast! We are having so much fun and maybe getting better at it...maybe!! On this episode we have our first Special Guest whose been lobbying to be on the show for awhile. So we granted his birthday wish and welcomed James, Aubri's son, onto the podcast.

We went and saw Doctor Strange and it was....well, you have to listen to the podcast to find out what we thought. But fair warning....spoilers!!!! - But all you really need to know is Benedict Cumberbach is adorable!!

We did a little investigating and gave ourselves a history lesson on a Marvel character we didn't know much about.

But we are finally back and almost done with our Series One recap of Doctor Who. We are on the second to last episode, which is a two-part good-bye to the Ninth Doctor. Yes, that is me (Rheanna) crying. Can you hear me?

Episode 11: Doctor Who Series 1 ~ Boom Town

The Ninth Doctor, and his companions, Rose Tyler and Jack Harkness travel to modern-day Cardiff and meet up with Rose's boyfriend, Mickey. There, they discover that their "enemy", Blon Fel-Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen, is very much alive, if without an easy escape route from Earth, and is willing to rip apart the planet to ensure her freedom.

We are getting closer and closer to the end of Series 1, and I don't think I'm quite ready to accept it. On this episode we talk all about Boom Town, our love of Jack Harkness, what we think about Mickey Rickey and how cool we think it is that the Doctor Who team loved Blaine so much that they decided to bring her back even though the Slitheen were all supposed to have died a couple episodes back.

ScreenRant covered the release of the new images from Entertainment Weekly and I may or may not have been freaking out. Synopsis

 Pete Alan Tyler, the father of Rose and husband of Jackie, died on 7 November 1987, the day of Stuart Hoskins and Sarah Clark's wedding. Rose was just a baby at the time, Jackie told the young Rose that nobody was there for Pete when he died and that the hit-and-run driver was never found...

Now grown up, Rose asks the Ninth Doctor to take her to see him alive, but on a whim, ends up changing his fate, not realising the consequences of such a paradox. After all, the Doctor has saved so many lives...what could the real consequences be over a man alive in the world who wasn't alive before

So after a week of technical difficulties the Two Nerdy Girls are back with another Doctor Who episode discussion! On the podcast today we are talking about The Long Game. And its perfect timing, as Star Trek has opened in theaters and is blowing up!!! And why is it perfect timing? Well Simon Pegg is in this episode of Doctor Who, much to our delight. He's a fantastic actor and his character is absolutely wonderful!!!! So of course I included a special little pic of Simon at Comic Con. Also, watch out because lame-o Adam, the fake companion, is back to obviously ruin everything!

The Doctor, Rose, and Adam arrive on Floor 139 of Satellite 5, a space station orbiting Earth in the year 200,000. The Doctor meets a woman named Cathica, a reporter who tells him that the station is a giant broadcast tower transmitting news across Earth. The Doctor, with Rose, hacks into the computer systems of the station and is detected by the Editor. The Editor allows the Doctor and Rose to travel to Floor 500, with Cathica following soon after.
